About Keith Malone
Yes I know it’s written in the third person… and its no secret that my writing “skills” could be greatly improved! Anyway here comes the bio:
Keith is a founding board member of mrs2be.ie, a successful brand which is owned and managed by Online Bridal Directory Ltd. He currently holds the position of Marketing & IT Director and is primarily responsible for managing the company’s growth and technology strategies. mrs2be.ie is Ireland’s fastest growing wedding community and is strongly supported by many prominent Irish wedding suppliers who want to see big changes occurring in the online wedding advertising market.
Prior to working in the Irish wedding industry, Keith trained and qualified as a chartered certified accountant. He has almost 10 years of audit and accounting experience under his belt.
Wanting to be involved in something a little more creative and stimulating than pure accountancy, Keith’s web design agency was born. It catered primarily for new and small enterprises. This was 1999 and was Keith’s first solo commercial venture. In 2001, Keith took a year long career break to pursue further education and he attained a post graduate diploma in IT.
Keith has always had an interest in cameras and photography and it came as no surprise that his career would eventually steer in that direction. Launched in 2004, Keith Malone Wedding Films is widely recognised as one of Ireland’s leading wedding video studios. Not long afterwards, Keith expanded operations by forming a sister business called Cutting Edge Productions to cater for the video production needs of the commercial and government sectors.
Out of a desire to unite the wedding videography business towards a common goal of improving standards and quality, he created Irish Video Forum in 2008 (later re-branded to WeddingVideo.ie). The site serves as an online discussion community for professional wedding videographers.
keithmalone.com has been around for many years, but under many different guises. In July 2010, the domain was revived to create this online wedding marketing blog where Keith shares his thoughts on the current state of play of the Irish wedding industry. Wherever possible, he imparts a little knowledge and advice for those prepared to read it!
